Feb 2012, full time, permanent
Salary: £24 – 30K per annum, OTE
We’re offering a unique opportunity to join an established arts and technology company with a proven track record at the most senior level.
Cenatus is successfully positioned at the intersection of arts/music and technology. Our activities are a mixture of digital consultancy and creative production, manifested through the celebrated Netaudio London festival.
You’ll be working as equal partner with the existing directors Matt Spendlove and Andi Studer from our office at Apiary Studios in the heart of East London. The right candidate will enjoy working on and generating a variety of projects, from curation and production of the festival and our event commissions through to digital consultancy for a range of commercial and not for profit clients. We’re increasingly carving a niche in this sector with both our interests of arts and technology cross pollinating and informing each other.
Much of our client consultancy is realised through website builds, and we use some of the latest techs including Ruby/Rails, jQuery, Heroku and Amazon web services. The right candidate will have a passion for web development and ideally some exposure to these techs or a willingness to get quickly up to speed. We expect the candidate to bring in a network of contacts that immediately help to meet the our turnover requirements in return for a partnership in the company.
Planning is well under way for our festival event in 2012 so we’re looking for someone with a huge passion for music and an aspiration to work on a multifaceted event that spans performance, sound art, conference/workshops & broadcast. Any exposure or involvement in these activities is a bonus but not a pre-requisite. Your knowledge, enthusiasm, pragmatism and passion are what counts.
We expect you’ll have at least two years experience in a cultural or digital environment and have generated your own ideas or networks that you can bring with you and realize as part of the Cenatus team.
A basic salary of £24k is offered with the opportunity to earn up to £30k upon meeting of income targets.
