In partnership with Penultimate Press we established an ongoing series of experimental and outsider music events. Past dates include:

  • 6 Aug, Cafe OTO: The British artist Graham Lambkin, known for the work of his band The Shadow Ring, read selections from first book of writings ‘Dumb Answer to Miracles’ (2009), alongside other works. Further, Tim Goss presented his new project Call Back The Giants and Luke Younger performed as Helm. The evening marked the release of a new Penultimate Press book ‘Dripping Junk’ comprising 100 drawings by Graham Lambkin. There’s some DIY iPhone footage over on YouTube
  • 26 May, Cafe OTO: The French sound artist, composer, improviser and director at Metamkine, Jérôme Noetinger presented work produced with a Revox B77 tape machine. He was supported by Family Battle Snake (FBS), the long running solo experimental music project of sound artist and designer Bill Kouligas and Lee Gamble, the founding member of the UK-based CYRK.

Further events in this series co-presented with Mark Harwood of Pentulatimate Press are being planned and will be advertised via our mailing list or @cenatus
